Welcome to my world of art. I am Leyla, a painter who finds inspiration in emotions and dreams. I have always been fascinated by the idea of thinking and creating independently. I started painting mandalas in kindergarten, and at home I painted on anything I could possibly find and I really enjoyed tracing the patterns on the toilet paper. There was one image I drew over and over again: a house with a garden and stairs leading to the front door. The sun was always shining, and a few trees. Beside the house stretched a street with no end. Streetlights lined the path, glowing softly. The street went straight into the distance, becoming smaller and smaller the farther it went.

That was the beginning of my journey!

What I Do and Why I Create

What I do is get my inspiration from everyday life. I take it from my dreams, from moments when I am bored and do nothing, and even from talking to different kinds of people, which broadens my horizon. But at some point, we are all equal. There is so much emotion, so many kinds of emotions that we can feel, and most of us, maybe even you, cannot fully describe them in words or in a film.

This is why it is so important for me to think and create, to give people the chance to see and feel that they are part of the painting. I want them to see themselves and experience what we become when we truly look with our own eyes. I want to create art that people can relate to and understand. I focus on being original and on life itself, which is so much more than what we notice on a daily basis.

Another point is that we should focus on our personal growth and not just wake up every day to do the same routine over and over again, walking the same streets, working only for money. We need to understand that most of what we do is not for ourselves. We are not truly independent. We work for the political and economic system, and even those who appear independent are often not fulfilled or truly happy. We should learn more about ourselves and follow the unique gifts/strength we were born with.

The coming generation. They deserve more. They deserve the chance to study themselves instead of being forced to learn things they will never use. I think about the children who die from hunger and never get to experience the world’s full potential. They are raised to follow rules, religions, and people who tell them what is right and wrong. This is not real life. It is a system we follow because it is familiar.

Through my art, I want to recreate the system. I want to create a world based on equality and authenticity. I want to show what we are truly capable of and how we can change the world by doing what we love and following the gifts we were given from the very beginning.

Some of the things I focus on in my work:

  • Exploring emotions and dreams as sources of inspiration.
  • the human subconscious
  • Encouraging people to see themselves as part of the artwork.
  • Challenging routines and systems that limit our freedom.
  • Highlighting personal growth, originality, and the potential of life beyond daily habits.

Questions I Ask Myself

I often ask myself questions that guide my thoughts and my art. These questions help me reflect and create meaning:

  • Why do people wish for success when in the end we all return to where we came from?
  • How can we truly be free?
  • Why has life given us so much, yet we often do not understand why?

These questions are not just thoughts... they are the foundation of my work. I believe that art is a powerful way to explore these mysteries, to uncover meaning, and to connect with the deeper truths of life.

There is such a great power hidden within pain. We need to learn how to use it to its full potential, to grow, overcome challenges, and reach new levels in life.

By doing this, we can also inspire others, showing them that it is possible to rise above their own struggles.

Everyone needs a spark, a guiding tip, to help them overcome themselves and move forward.

Thank you

Leyla
